I am not sure how true is this. I just received an email with the subject “Fw: HONDA FREED – SUV (END 2009) RM80K – RM90K”. If it is true, I think it will affect the sales of Perodua coming MPV.

I attended the MCA 60th Anniversary day on 1st March 2009 at MCA Headquarter. The venue was crowded. This is the first time I see Dewan San Choon packed with MCA members until me and other members couldn’t have our seats.

Upstairs also full. Seems this event gained a huge support from the members.

The members are entertained by a unique percussion performance. We also served by some short video clips that touched my heart and I believe all the audience in the hall. The veteran members whom interviewed in the video clips were also received sourvenirs as an expression of gratitude.

This event is quite successful. Datuk Wong Foon Meng had given a good speech in Malay and Chinese. However I feel the MCA Chief, Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat’s speech is difficult to understand and not straight-forward. He used a lot of bombastic words and phrases in his Chinese and English speech, like nobody knows how “smart” he is. He also talked with our party Deputy Chairman, Datuk Seri Dr. Chua Soi Lek. Whether it is an acting or sincere action, I also not sure.

Those who get sticker when arrived at the hall can redeem an orange colour environmental friendly goodie bag which contains a box of “Long-life” noodles, an analogue watch with MCA logo and 2 books.

The watch looks not bad in design even though has no brand but if it has printed with 60th anniversary then the watch is very worth to keep.
