Last Saturday I attended a dinner at Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) Dewan Perdana to celebrate the appointment of our 6th Malaysian’s Prime Minister, YAB Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak. Other members of MCA Bandar Tun Razak and I were sitting at table no 123. The ticket for each table is costing RM900. The event started at 7.30pm but our PM only arrived at 8.30pm. This is my first time visiting PICC. The food was very nice (catering from Equatorial Hotel). Our Prime Minister gave a good speech and some promises to fullfil the Malaysian Chinese needs such as quota systems in education and economic, and also social (safety). Hmm, did I heard he mention about Chinese political needs? Perhaps politic is not important for Malaysian Chinese. So let us see if the promises are implemented successful or not. End of the day, I feel that PICC looks so beautiful at night. What a waste, how much people can see such a nice night view since not much people come to Putrajaya or stay nearby.

April is a very special month where the second quarter of the year (Q2) begins. Other than my birthday is fall in this month and the most well known day of the month, April Fool, this is a month where a new chapter is going to start.

Chronology:

1st April: April Fool Day. I didn’t get fooled or become any victim of any disaster. How about you? Some PC users may suffer from the medium level virus call Conficker C which has spread all over the world and infected millions of computers. If your computer is installed with Microsoft latest security patches or good antivirus, you might have be protected from this virus. This virus or more suitable to be call a Worm, will exploit and send the information stored in your PC to the cyber criminal websites. If you afraid that your PC would be infected, go and get the original copy of the Windows OS and antivirus. Isn’t this sounds like a strategy use by the software company so the users will purchase their original software?

2nd April: Hahah, my birthday of course. As usual I went to work. What I disappointed is that no one in my company remembered my birthday until I spoke out and my colleagues bought me a nice chocolate cake. At night, I celebrate with my girl friend, having dinner at a nearby Chinese restaurant in Cheras Leisure Mall call Hua Li. We ordered a claypot talapia fish, a black pepper udon noodles, a bitter gourd egg, a coconut and a glass of Chinese tea which total up of RM38.30 and the dishes were so delicious. On this day, the world is celebrating the World Autism Awareness Day. Also this is the day where Abdullah Ahmad Badawi retired as the Prime Minister of Malaysia.

3rd April: Najib Razak sworn in as the 6th Prime Minister of Malaysia. He introduced the One Malaysia concept and is the new hope for Malaysians. MCA would be happy to co-operate with our new PM and we are looking for a better living in this country especially during this economic downturn.

4th April: Former PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad will be rejoin UMNO. Anwar, the so called de facto leader of PKR will be giving the UMNO a surprise. I wonder what he is going to announce. PKR join UMNO? well, April Fools has passed, so don’t make this joke. Najib said he will release all the 13 ISA detainees on 5th April, check thestar news.

There are more interesting news coming soon this month. Stay tune.
